Accessing Your Superannuation for Dental Work.
Many of people around our area, aren’t aware that their options for paying for Dental care can include their release of superannuation. Superannuation funds can be used for dental treatments that are considered an emergency or quite critical, that is not covered in the public health system. The early release of Superannuation funds can take about 14-28 days to process online, and the withdrawn amount is taxed as a lump sum if accessed based on financial hardships.
The Government’s Early Release of Superannuation program is designed to give you access to your Superannuation on empathetic grounds in certain conditions. Using part of your Super to pay for Dental costs becomes available if you have no other means to pay for the treatment and you meet the eligibility standards and guidelines. To be qualified to access your superannuation you must be undergoing severe or chronic pain or mental illness.
If you are unsure of your eligibility, our dentist and staff will be able to help you through this. If you are unsure of the process, we can help you and haply hold your hands through this also.
Our dentist will review your dental condition and form a $65 treatment plan or from a standard check and clean to best suit your needs. We can then work with you to fill out all of the required forms needed to apply for early release of superannuation and submit the application to the Australian Taxation Office, online through your MyGov account or via mail (this may take up to 60days). Once your application has been approved, you will need to contact your super company and organise to get this to your bank account.
